Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (#5) was my least favorite of the series. Page after page of drudgery and fear and Harry whining. "Where is J.K. Rowling going with this? Just get on with it! Everyone's against him!" But book 5 is a necessary part of the story. Page after page moves the story along and all the drudgery and fear and whining is understood by the end. Only by knowing the whole story did any of those thousands of pages make any sense by the end.
I set out to tell a story at the start of this year and in the beauty of His grace, He has a different story to tell. It's nearly the end of another year, and I'm not at the end but instead somewhere in the middle of this grand story God is telling with my life and the lives of those around me.
Page after page, this story is working toward its end and His story is one of grace and intention with every little detail and conversation and prayer lifted up. No doubt our family has been prayed for by many, many people.
1 Chronicles 16:8
Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples!
Turn the page, girl.
