"Tell the story." That's what God keeps telling me.
Several months ago my pastor mentioned a project in which we tell the stories of people in our church. "You interview, and write the story they tell."
"I'm in," I said.
It was an answer to a question I'd had for months to my Father. "What is my writing purpose?" I had asked. He had answered in Brandon's suggestion.
His reply, "You will tell my story. You will tell of my grace and mercy." And suddenly I knew the purpose.
A few years ago, while working on a project for Peoria Home, a friend said, "Isn't it great when you see someone working within His will?" She was referring to me telling the story of a woman enslaved, the story of redemption. This has stuck with me.
This is my writing purpose. This is why I write.
May this always be true, may this writing be glorifying to Him.
